Chung Mong-kyu, president of the Korea Football Association, met with Federation Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) President Gianni Infantino in Paris, France.
FIFA President Infantino posted several photos on his social networking service (SNS) on Sept. 7 (KST) of the meeting with Chung.
According to Infantino’s post, the two met on the 6th and talked about the Homeless World Cup, the FIFA Forward Program, and more.
“I am very happy to have met my longtime friend Chung Mong-kyu, President of the Korea Football Association, at the FIFA offices in Paris, France,” Infantino wrote in the post.
“I am very grateful to Chung Mong-kyu and the KFA for the work they are doing to help develop soccer in Korea and around the world,” he wrote, referring to the Homeless World Cup, which will be held in Seoul next month.
The Homeless World Cup is a global soccer tournament for people aged 15 and over who are living in squalor to compete for their national teams, and is in its 19th edition since 2003.

The FIFA Forward Program is a project that uses FIFA’s revenue to support the development of football in its 211 member nations around the world, and has provided South Korea with approximately US$9.9 million ($13.6 billion) between 2016 and 2022.
The KFA is currently building the Korea Football Center in Cheonan. It is expected to be completed in 2025.
Finally, Infantino also thanked Chung Mong-kyu for presenting him with a handwritten letter from his memoir, “The Age of Football,” saying he was “honored.
