West Ham United has signed Niklas Pflugk (31).
“We are delighted to announce the signing of German international center forward Niklas Fulkruk,” West Ham United said via the club’s official channels on Saturday. The deal is a four-year contract and the fee is undisclosed but is believed to be in excess of €27 million (KRW 401 million) according to sources familiar with the European transfer market, including Fabrizio Romano.
Fühlkrug, born in 1993, is a German international striker who has played for the German national team and Borussia Dortmund. At 6-foot-3, he’s a strong, physical striker who can hold up play and create goals with his physicality.
Fulkruk is not limited to the front line, dropping deep into the midfield to be an active part of the attacking process.
A proven resource who was the Bundesliga’s top scorer in the 2022-2023 season while at Werder Bremen, Pilkruk struggled to settle in after his move to Borussia Dortmund in the 2023-2024 season, but he quickly bolstered an anemic Dortmund frontline with 12 goals in 29 league games and three goals in 13 UEFA games.
He was ready for a new challenge.
“I’m delighted to be here and I’m looking forward to getting on the pitch with my new teammates,” said Pilkruk on joining the club.
“I think the Premier League is the best league in the world.
