The production team behind KBS’s popular music program “Music Bank” has publicly voiced its dissatisfaction with the sudden cancellation of their concert in Madrid, Spain, and has called for an apology from Real Madrid CF.

The team issued an official statement, Friday, regarding Real Madrid’s unilateral decision to cancel the concert at Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, which was scheduled for Oct. 12.

The cancellation was due to ongoing noise complaints from residents living near the stadium, leading to the suspension of all music events until March next year, according to the stadium administration.

The “Music Bank” team expressed “deep regret over this unilateral cancellation of the concert” by Real Madrid and made it clear that it cannot accept this arbitrary decision imposed without any prior consultation.

“We demand an official explanation and apology from Real Madrid,” it said.

It also demanded that Real Madrid “take full ethical and financial responsibility for the losses suffered by K-pop fans and K-pop artists, who have 커뮤니티 invested a considerable amount of time and money to attend the concert.”

The statement also emphasized that Real Madrid “must take responsibility for the damage caused to the ‘Music Bank World Tour’ brand’s image,” which has been established over the past 15 years with the love and efforts of K-pop fans worldwide.

Emphasizing what it described as an “unjust action,” the team highlighted the immense disappointment and frustration felt by more than 33,000 K-pop fans from 87 countries who had purchased tickets for the event.

The Music Bank team also appealed for support in rescheduling the concert and expressed its willingness to discuss any requests from Madrid authorities and the Bernabéu Stadium.

It also assured that measures would be put in place with the local organizers to prevent further complaints from residents near the concert venue.
