Porsche Korea appointed Mathias Busse as its new CEO and representative director in recognition of his expertise in the Asian market and extensive experience in the global auto industry, the local subsidiary of the German luxury carmaker announced, Friday.
He will assume his role starting on Oct. 1. The new head of Porsche Korea previously served as senior director of Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles in Germany since 2022.
He is an expert in international sales and management, with over 25 years of experience in the automotive industry .
His previous experience includes serving as CEO of Porsche Taiwan for over three years, starting in September 2018. According to Porsche Korea, 추천 Busse also played a key role in expanding the brand’s sales network and increasing brand awareness, particularly in the Asian region.
Outgoing Porsche Korea CEO Holger Gerrmann will take over management of Porsche Switzerland AG.
The incoming Porsche executive is recognized for extending the carmaker’s vehicle portfolio in Korea by spearheading the launch of the firm’s first all-electric Taycan here.
Detlev von Platen, a member of Porsche’s executive board, expressed confidence that the new leader will further enhance the carmaker’s brand value in Korea.
“Mathias Busse has a high level of understanding in the Asian market and have a wide range of experience in the global car industry,” he said. “He is expected to help level up Porsche Korea’s footing.”
