This ‘player replacement incident’ occurred in the 22nd minute of the first half of the Jeonbuk-Pohang match

when Pohang defender Kim Yong-hwan was receiving treatment off the ground due to an injury,

and Pohang requested a player replacement.

Pohang requested Shin Kwang-hoon to play as a substitute instead of Kim In-seong,

but the referee misunderstood that the injured Kim Yong-hwan was being replaced,

so they allowed Shin Kwang-hoon to come on when Kim In-seong did not leave the field.

Because of this, a situation occurred where Kim In-seong and Shin Kwang-hoon played together for about 4 minutes and 30 seconds.

but it is difficult to tolerate it in K-League 1,

which is the highest level of Korean soccer,” he explained.

Meanwhile, the Korea Professional Football League will decide whether to forfeit or otherwise take action for the game in question after thorough review.

An official from the Professional Federation said, “As it is not a matter to be judged mechanically,

we need more time to review it,” and added, “As K-League games will not be held for the time being due to the FA Cup schedule, etc.,

it is time to make a reasonable decision rather than a quick one.”
