Lee Ju-ah, 24, who plays women’s volleyball for IBK, has expressed her desire to win a championship.
“I have the idea that I have to win the championship or else,” Lee said ahead of the team’s training match against Japanese V-League team Toyota Motorcycle Queensland in Nagoya, Japan, on Tuesday. I’m preparing with the mindset that if we don’t win, a bomb will explode,” she said, expressing her determination to start anew.
National middle blocker Lee Ju-ah left Heungkuk Saengsim in April to sign a free-agent contract with 토토사이트 IBK Bank.
IBK head coach Kim Ho-cheol (69) played a crucial role in his decision. “He told me that I was the player they needed and that I was the last piece of the puzzle, and the moment I heard that, I made up my mind. Kim is known as a “tiger teacher” in the volleyball world. He is known for pushing his players to be strong.
“I’m mentally strong, so I don’t mind it,” Lee laughed about Kim’s coaching style. “I’ve been beaten up a lot in my previous team, so I’m mentally prepared. I don’t think I’ll have a mental breakdown or anything, because the coach will point out things I did wrong,” she added.
Lee is trying to take Kim’s guidance and make it her own. “I think the first thing I need to do is reflect on my own problems when he points them out. It’s important to accept what he says and quickly find out what I did wrong,” he says. ”If you do something wrong, you fix it. And then do it again. That’s how you learn faster,” he emphasized.
Lee, who is also known as “Lee Dong Joo-ah” for her mobile offense since her rookie year, talks a lot with her setters in particular.
