U-18 Baseball Team wins 3-1 over Netherlands…

The Korea Under-18 National Baseball Team defeated the Netherlands in the final game of the World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) U-18 Baseball World Cup Super Round to advance to the bronze medal game.

Korea, led by Lee Young-bok (Chungam-Go), finished the Super Round in fourth place with a 3-1 victory over the Netherlands on Monday in Taipei, Taiwan.

After starting the Super Round with a 1-1 record, 바카라사이트 South Korea lost to Japan (1-7) and the United States (1-5) before winning against the Netherlands.

South Korea was tied with the United States and Puerto Rico in the winner-take-all standings.

The team compared its TQB (Team Quality Balance – (runs scored ÷ offensive innings played) – (runs allowed ÷ defensive innings played)), a metric used by the organizers to determine rankings, and finished the Super Round in fourth place out of six teams, ahead of Puerto Rico.

South Korea will play the final game of the tournament on Tuesday at 3 p.m. against Super Round 3 winner the United States.

The team will attempt to win a medal for the first time in four years, following a bronze medal in 2019. At the last edition in 2022, they finished fourth and did not qualify.

The finalists have also been determined. Japan and Chinese Taipei will finish first and second in the Super Round based on the results of their head-to-head matchup on Monday afternoon.

Both teams qualified for the final by securing at least second place. The final will be played on Tuesday at 7 p.m.

Korea opened the scoring in the first inning with runners on first and third as Park Ji-hwan (SeAd) hit an infield single and scored on Cho Hyun-min’s (Chungam-go) infield grounder.

With two outs in the bottom of the third, Cho Hyun-min hit a two-run double to right field to make it 3-0.

South Korea gave up a run in the top of the fourth inning, but held onto the two-run lead for the remainder of the game.

Cho Hyun-min, who started at third base in the No. 5 spot, went 1-for-2 with a double, a walk and two RBIs, while Jeong Ahn-seok (Whimungo) chipped in with a pair of hits and a run scored.

Starting pitcher Yoon Sun-yeop (Jangchung) gave up one run on five hits with two walks and five strikeouts in 3⅔ innings, while Park Gun-woo (Chungam), Kim Taek-yeon (Incheon), and Jeon Mir (Gyeongbuk) pitched the remaining innings for a no-hitter. 무료슬롯게임
