Two of Hollywood’s fashion icons Zendaya and Timothée Chalamet, wore matching slick leather jumpsuits, gaining a large amount of publicity as part of their promotional activities in Seoul for the blockbuster “Dune: Part Two.” Zendaya wore a light peach-colored jumpsuit and Chalamet wore the same outfit but in gray during a press conference for the upcoming movie at the Conrad Seoul in Yeouido, Seoul, Wednesday. The duo’s outfits turned out to be the work of Korean fashion designer Jung Wook-jun, who is also known as Juun.J. “It’s wonderful to support designers here and thank you to Juun.J for an opportunity to wear it,” Chalamet told reporters at the event. Zendaya also said, “Hope we look okay. ”Zendaya’s fashion choices have always drawn media attention, with her recent outfits for the “Dune: Part Two” promotions being no exception. Her jumpsuit in Seoul aligns with the choices that reflect her fashion sense, including a bodysuit inspired by gothic plate armor from Thierry Mugler’s 1995 couture collection for the film’s London premiere and a daring Bottega Veneta piece during an event in Mexico.

Recently, Margot Robbie came to Korea for her film “Barbie,” where she wore a hanbok design during an interview, but it is rare for Hollywood stars to make contact with local designers first prior to their visit, according to Samsung C&T, which owns the global menswear brand Juun.J. “The stylist made contact with Juun.J through the brand’s official account last December. Then during the label’s 2024 F/W collection in Paris, the actors who also went to the Paris Fashion Week tried on the design and had a fitting session,” said Kay Koh of Samsung C&T. “We heard that Juun.J’s 2023 F/W collaboration with Porsche was in line with the film’s concept.”

The two actors will appear on the popular TV talk show “You Quiz on the Block,” wearing the same outfits, on Feb. 28.Ko said that apart from the outfits, unveiled at the press event, Chalamet visited the brand’s flagship store in Gangnam to purchase 6 pieces including sweaters and hoodies, worth 4 to 5 million won in total. “It is a rare case of local fashion brands selected and loved by Hollywood actors. There are only a few brands that successfully expanded to the global market and took root there,” Koh added. In the past, pop singers Kanye West and Rihanna asked the Seoul-based designer to make them stage outfits. Rihanna took to the stage wearing a top and bottom by Juun.J during her world tour in 2013. Rihanna also wore the brand’s Matrix-style 카지노사이트 trench coat in Kendrick Lamar’s “Loyalty” music video in 2017.
