The Korean baseball team (4th in the world rankings), led by coach Ryu Joong-il, will play its first game against Chinese Taipei (5th) in the 2024 World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) Premier 12 in November.

WBSC announced the Premier 12 Group A and B group stage schedule on the 29th (Korean time).

Korea, included in Group B, will play its first group match against Chinese Taipei at Taipei Dome on November 13 at 7:30 p.m. The next day, on the 14th, at 7 p.m., they will face Cuba (8th place) at Taiwan’s Tianmu Stadium.

The long-awaited Korea-Japan match against ‘old enemy’ Japan (#1) will be held at Taipei Dome on November 15th at 7pm.

The national team will meet the Dominican Republic (9th place) at 7:30 p.m. on November 16, take a day’s rest, and then face Australia (11th place) at 1 p.m. on the 18th. Both games will be held at Tianmu Baseball Stadium.

Group A includes Mexico (2nd), the United States (3rd), Venezuela (6th), the Netherlands (7th), Panama (10th), and Puerto Rico (12th), and will play the group stage in Mexico.

The top two teams in Groups A and B will play the Super Round at Tokyo Dome in Japan from November 21st to 23rd. The finals will take place at Tokyo Dome on November 24th. Premier12 is a competition created by WBSC in 2015, and is held every four years in which the top 12 countries in the baseball rankings participate. Korean baseball won the Premier 12 in 2015 and became the first champion. In the 2nd competition in 2019, they advanced to the finals, but lost to Japan and had to be satisfied with second place. Korea is attempting to win this year’s competition for the first time in nine years. 안전 슬롯사이트
