Park Hyun-kyung topped the Korean Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA) Tour’s BC Card-Hankyung Ladies Cup (1.4 billion won in total prize money).
Park shot a 2-under 70 with four birdies and two bogeys in the fourth round on the final day of the tournament at Pocheon Hills CC (Par 72, 6,528 yards) in Pocheon, Gyeonggi-do, on Wednesday.
With a final total of 12-under par 276, Park won the tournament after a four-way playoff with Yoon In-na and Park Ji-young to take home the $252 million prize.
It was Park’s second victory of the season in a month after winning the Doosan Match Play in May. It is her sixth career victory on tour.
Park, who was tied for first place with Park after the third round, bogeyed the fifth and sixth holes to fall off the lead at one point.
Park reeled off back-to-back birdies on the eighth and ninth holes to share the lead with Yoon, but Yoon responded with back-to-back birdies on the 10th and 11th holes to extend the gap back to two strokes.
Park holed a 10-meter birdie putt on the 12th (par-4) to pull within one, but Yoon In Na birdied her chip shot around the green on the 13th (par-5) to stay within two.
However, Yoon In In dropped shots on the 15th and 17th holes to move to 12-under par with Park Hyun Kyung as the latter continued to make pars.
Playing in the front group, Yoon In Na started the 18th hole (par-5) first, but her tee shot sailed left and she was unable to capitalize on her long-hitting advantage by getting the ball on the green in three.
Park missed a 1.6-meter birdie putt on the 18th hole, where she and Yoon were tied for first place, to force a playoff with Park, who birdied the hole.
The two tied with a birdie on the first and a par on the second, and Park was the first to be eliminated in the third, which was played from a different hole location.
In the fourth extra playoff on the same hole, Yoon In In’s 4-meter birdie putt saved the hole, while Park calmly drained a 50-centimeter birdie putt to end the long match.
Yoon In In was not as lucky in the second overtime as her 9-meter birdie putt in the second overtime also rolled around the hole. 먹튀검증
