Thousands of SuperCoach NBL players have been thrown a trade curve ball with red-hot Taipan Taran Armstrong set to miss this week’s double with injury.
Armstrong rolled his ankle in the warm-up against Melbourne United on Sunday and has since been diagnosed with a grade one sprain.
He will miss both of the Taipans’ games in round 4 and be a game-day decision against the Hawks in round 5.
He’s not the only injury worry in Cairns – Tanner Groves has been ruled out for 3-4 weeks with a calf injury.
Injury replacement player Tad Dufelmeier will return to the roster this week.
Coach Adam Forde said on Wednesday he didn’t want to “rush guys unnecessarily this early in the season.
