Changwon LG is hosting the annual Sakers Match again this year.
LG held its own practice game at the Changwon Gymnasium on Wednesday to inspect its facilities ahead of the 2024-2025 season. Like last year’s game, the so-called “Sakers Match” was sold out as soon as the doors opened.
In front of nearly 600 fans, all players were on the court except for Han Sang-hyuk, who was recovering from an elbow injury, and Doo Kyung-min and Choi Jin-soo, 메이저 토토사이트 who had minor injuries.
The dark brown LG team started with Yang Jun-seok, Yoo Ki-sang, Heo Il-young, Jang Kook-kook, and Asem Marei, while the white practice jerseys of the Sacramento Kings started with Jang Tae-bin, Sung-hyun, Jung In-duk, Cal Tamayo, and Darryl Monroe. The benches of both teams were led by head coaches Lim Jae-hyun and Park Yoo-jin.
Coach Cho Sang-hyun spent the entire first half off the bench watching his players play before returning to his seat in the second half.
The game was played in the exact same conditions as the regular game, and the score was 82-57 in favor of LG. However, several players changed jerseys in the second quarter, and the outcome didn’t matter much as it was a practice game.
After the game, captain Heo Il-young and head coach Cho Sang-hyun stood in front of the fans.
Heo Il-young took the microphone on behalf of the team and said, “We changed a lot of players during the off-season, so even if you feel awkward, I hope you will cheer hard. We worked hard to prepare. The club and players are looking at the fans from the same place, so I hope you will support us during the season.” He expressed his determination for this season.
Coach Cho then took the microphone and said, “There have been many changes in the team since the end of last season. There are a lot of expectations and concerns around us, but we trained well over the summer without any injuries, so I hope we can fulfill everyone’s desire for a championship. I will take responsibility and build a good team,” he said, expressing his determination to win the championship.
Afterward, LG ended the day with a high-five from the fans, and will play its first game of the cup against Suwon KT at the Jecheon Gymnasium on the 8th.
