Kim Soo-ji (25-Ulsan Metropolitan City Hall) narrowly missed out on a medal in the women’s 3-meter springboard at the Asian Games .Kim finished fourth in the women’s 3-meter springboard final at the Hangzhou 2022 Asian Games on Thursday at the Hangzhou Olympic and Sports Center Pool in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, China, with a total of 288.85 points from the first through fifth dives. Third-place finisher Sayaka Mikami (JPN) scored 304.65 points, 25.80 points higher than Kim. Kim was in third place through the third period. However, she made a mistake in the fourth period on a difficulty level 3.0 performance (305B) of “jumping into a pike position with knees bent and hands behind the legs in a two-and-a-half rotation” (54.00 points) and dropped to fourth place .Mikami scored 66.00 points for her performance in the fourth period on a performance (205B) of “jumping backwards into the pool with her back to the pool and doing two-and-a-half rotations”.
