KBL Outsider to NBA Head Coach Mosley Signs 4-Year Contract Extension with Orlando

Orlando Magic head coach Jamal Mosley (45) has agreed to a new contract.

Mosley has agreed to a four-year contract extension with the Orlando organization.

The deal guarantees Mosley’s job as head coach 토토사이트 추천 through the 2027-28 season.

After going undrafted in the NBA Draft as an active player, Mosley played overseas in Australia and Spain.

He also played in South Korea. He played for the Seoul Samsung Thunder in 2005, averaging 13.2 points and 8.8 rebounds per game.

“I had a great time with good teammates,” Mosley said in an October 2021 interview. It was a great experience, and I enjoyed the culture. The people were really welcoming,” Mosley said of his short stint in South Korea.

“I learned that no matter where you are, if you’re on a team, you care about each other, and the most important thing is that you’re trying to figure out how to make each other perform better. No matter where you go in the world, if you’re a player, you want to play well, you trust your teammates, and you enjoy the game of basketball,” he said of what he took away from the experience.

After retirement, he turned to coaching. He coached with the Denver Nuggets (2005-2010) and Cleveland Cavaliers (2010-2014) before spending seven years in Dallas, where he assisted head coach Rick Carlisle.

In his first season, 2021-22, he won just 22 games, but showed improvement in 2022-23, when he won 34 games, 12 more than the previous season.

In 2023-24, they went even higher. With young players like Paolo Banquero and Franz Wagner realizing their potential, the team is 37-28 and fifth in the Eastern Conference.

Orlando has the fourth-best defense in the league’s 30 teams with a 111.8 defensive rating.
