Garcia shot 4 under par 68 in the second round of the Miami Tournament (total prize money of $25 million) held at Trump National Doral (par 72, 7,701 yards) in Miami, Florida, USA on the 7th (Korean time), for a total of 9 under par 135. Taro took the lead alone.
Garcia, who beat Taylor Gooch, Matthew Wolff (USA), and Tyrrell Hatton (England) by two strokes, maintained the lead for two days in a row.
Garcia was tied for the lead with Gooch and Peter Yulein (USA) in the first round.
Garcia, the 2017 Masters champion, has 11 wins on the PGA Tour, but has yet to win a championship after moving to LIV Golf. He only finished second twice.
