San Antonio Spurs coach Gregg Popovich was subjected to minor medical procedures on Friday, the team announced.
Popovich will miss her next two games, including Friday against the New Orleans Pelicans. He will return for the game against the Houston Rockets at the AT&T Center in San Antonio.
Brett Brown will enter the next two games for Popovich. He served as head coach of the Philadelphia 76ers from 2013 to 20 when he was replaced by current bank boss Doc Rivers.
In addition to his recent absence, Popovich missed on the 20th. November lost 123-92 to the Los Angeles Lakers with a disease. Brown also joined the coach during the game.
The Spurs enter the game on Friday the 14th at the Western Conference with a record of 6 to 16. The franchise is in the middle of a reconstruction after failing to make the playoffs in each of the last three seasons.
Keldon Johnson and Devin Vassell are two of San Antonio’s best players and are a duo they will probably want to build over the next few years.
Popovich has been the head coach of the Spurs since 1996. In their 27 seasons at the helm, the Spurs are 1.350-717 and won five NBA titles, the most recent in 2014, when they defeated the Miami Heat in five games.
Next month, Popovich will be 74 years old, and his time in the NBA is definitely shortening.
